Inspiration for the Book II

My second inspiration for this  novel is the wisdom and guidance from a mother and grandmother’s words which are passed down through generations. I believe that parents’ words have the power to make or break a child. The lessons parents can teach children can shape their future, relationships, and decision making. It is important to me to emphasize the power of women of supporting women. I hope this book demonstrates sisterhood, honest conversation between generations. I wrote with the intentional of a mother showing it was her responsibility of openly sharing knowledge and wisdom regarding drug, alcohol, body development, relationship, and sex. A mother encouragedher daughter to use her voice, to advocate for herself, and recognize her worth. The mother in this story teaches her daughter that financial independence is essential for freedom and security. A woman should not feel trapped to remain in a physically, emotionally, and mentally toxic relationship because she lacks financial resource. A mother who encouraged education, and value of having your own personal bank account.  A mother who gives wisdom to her daughter and the tools to feel valued in her relationship, not settling for a partner because of duty and responsibility. To seek a partner who appreciates them, who sees them, and values the richness of what she brings to the relationship. Women should be in a relationship with a mate which they share mutual love, respect, and appreciation. My hope the readers feel inspired by the wisdom shared amongst the generation of women, the empowerment to see their own strength and potential.
